Gandhi's stand for freedom and independence started with tax protest; prissy religionists plead with pussy-footing politicians re the invasion

Mahatma Gandhi has been studied, interpreted, reinvented and prostituted in more ways than one can count. Most of the time, surprise surprise, he's pressed into service as an icon of brotherly love and barefooted "noble savage" perfection. Nothing negative is allowed to filter through the wall of silence around any history the cultural Mrs. Grundys of the left don't like.... but you have the establishment spin on most things, and then there's the stark reality of them.

In this case, the stainless hero has been exposed as the worst thing in the liberal lexicon: a "racist!".............

Did ML King know about Gandhi’s racism?
http://www.zimbio.com/Ghandi+quotes/articles/23/ML+King+know+Gandhi+racism

But don't expect any retractions, mea culpas, or cultural revolutions over this gross lapse of consistency among the Stalinists of journalism, education et al.! They're allowed to make all the mistakes they want and be forgiven anything, indeed to have their gaffes and spasms of sheer nuttiness treated as so much water over the dam. When caught in some real crimes against the people, Slick Willy would endure some weeks of public disgust, then breeze that it was surely "time to move on", already -- rather than bringing the well-intentioned li'l ol' first boy scout to justice. Whether the public notices it or not, we've gone right along with it, too.

Mainly Gandhi is useful as an example of civil disobedience in the face of tyranny. The left uses him there, we can reference him much better. I read some of his biography as a college student and remain impressed with his populist determination and moral courage, despite the fact that thousands died in the sectarian violence that independence brought to India. A recent news link crystallizes the fact that what he did with salt in getting the decolonization program rolling was as much a tax revolt as the Boston Tea Party:

Do Peaceful Protests Work ? – Special Report

What Gandhi himself did was peaceful but let's look at the root of this. The British used to tax those in India on salt, making a fortune on it. The people were forbidden from making or taking their own salt from sea water. Who is this starting to sound like. Anyway Gandhi showed the people publicly himself making salt from sea water and started the peaceful protests. This was a tax protest, plain and simple.

If you'll notice, we spend quite a lot of time highlighting the vast differences between how different crowds perceive things, with the main ones being the truth, the left=wing view and the fake conservative take represented by not only the neoconservative politicians and their bajillions of dupes among the sheeple, but their equivalents in other positions of authority.

Sadly and sickeningly, this includes at least 95% of clergy in all religions across the board. Major case:

Ain't that purty? It would be one thing for the black-robed sissy who pulpetizes each Sunday in your local Methodist church to come out and try to suppress major truth this way, but leaders of the Southern Baptists and of... Liberty University!?!?!?!?

I see it there in black and white, but simply can't force myself to believe it. Would you be so kind as to write and let me know if it shows on your screen too? Maybe I've got a virus or something -- this just doesn't seem possible somehow, because for half a century liberals have been screaming that the SBC and LU are among the most insanely, dangerously "conservative" entities on the earth, virtually indistinguishable from the Nazis or Italian Fascists!

This could get scary. Come on, the Southern Baptist Convention, the ultimate bastion of conservative Christianity (in the view of most people, surely), and the university
founded by Jerry Falwell....

have come out with a political position stance on the main subject governing the fate of the civilization that produced them, i.e. cultural and ethnic unity....

....and that stance is in keeping with the likes of Time, Newsweek, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, Socialist Parties A and B (the Dems and Reps), plus the Communist Party and the fondest wishes of every third-worlder across the globe!?

It's just like with the politicians. Never mind the wishes of the contributors and constituencies of the two bastions, never mind the genuinely conservative worldview they were born to affirm: SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE wants Baptists and conservative Christian college students to turn radically leftward, and is willing to be booed for it!

The same Jerry Falwell blasted and blistered by the media for years over his putative wish for a moral, Christian American population has headed Liberty University for FOUR DECADES. You cna't tell us that he in his heart of hearts wants Virginia, or his own neighborhood, or the USA to take in yet more of the world's "wretched refuse", in the words of the twisted poem affixed to the statue of Liberty?

Who or what else could be exerting pressure on Jerry, Dr. Richard Land and Dr. Matthew Staver? WHO IS BRIBING THEM, and by how much cash? Tell us, please. Unveil the mystery. Either that, or admit that there's a massive conspiracy pushing everything, absolutely everything, the exact opposite way from where the people of every country want to go.

I found this item at AMREN.COM, whose genteel editor Jared Taylor adds a one-sentence summary to each link he features, often tearing a subject or its protagonists to shreds with just a few quiet, pithy words. This time, the headline and the three-word commentary add up to a smashing blow to the
prissy, pussy-footing perpetrators of the crime described, and of its reportage in the leftwing media:

What immigration rhetoric?

How right Mr. Taylor is! What are Messrs. Land and Staver crying about? "Immigration rhetoric?" WHAT immigration rhetoric, please? You've got a choice between the lies and posturing of the fakers (some of it flimsily pretending to mirror the popular view) and the honesty of Ron Paul on a good day.

What immigration rhetoric? Doesn't count if it's obvious pandering, now -- and that cuts out every one of the Non-Pauls, with Ron Paul only getting a fair grade much of the time.

What immigration rhetoric?

Wouldn't you say the above-linked article could amount to nothing more than scientific attitude-engineering and mental sheep-herding?
