It's the institutions -- handy buzzword

Add Pizza Hut to the list of companies no decent person has anything to do with:

http://www.wnd.com/2004/06/24858/
Pizza man saved by gun, but fired for packin' heat

It's supposed to be the classic all-American self-made company, isn't it? It's been a while since I subscribed to the American Family Association's AFA Journal, but I feel certain Pizza Hut was one of the companies frequently cited for sponsoring trash TV. You know, like that other bastion of pure ameriKanism -- Quaker Oats, with the picture of the smiling Christian dissenter (circa maybe 1700) on the front of the box?

The Quakers really should have sued that company for even superficially associating itself with their movement once the trash TV era came along. And Pizza Hut should have at least been boycotted by Italians since the beginning. It has never been worthy of the name taste-wise. In view of this news, they richly deserve to be shunned by the public till there's nothing left of them! (You may laugh or say I'm tilting at windmills expecting traditionally Christian people to act this way, but guess what? It's exactly, precisely how the enemy has taken over.)

When I call Pizza Hut's products substandard it's no mere sour grapes, either. If it's possible for anything to taste less like pizza than this brand, I wonder what it is.

Being a passionate, habitual, sometimes acclaimed scribbler like me is a labor of love. (Try it -- it's literally good for what ails you!) You've got 26 letters, the average ameriKan knows only a few thousand words, political correctness is busily corrupting and stealing the meaning of every word that has any socio-political import, like a bunch of mischievous brats going down a street switching street signs at every corner.

The challenge is wrapping the right verbiage around concepts, one after another, in was that will not only register with the public but fire them up. One such challenge In summing up the forces arrayed against us, the people*, in pursuit of their antichrist "new world order" -- government, media, church, education, advertising, mega-corporations, banks et al. My chosen catchall term for these is of course INSTITUTIONS. Do you like it?

The bigger an more influential an institution gets, the more sheerly evil. I hate to even type in such a sweepingly negative, fateful thing, but somebody's got to say it. Can anybody think of an exception? Pizza Hut is typical. According to Wikipedia, two guys started the chain with a loan from their mother to buy used restaurant equipment, and is now an international phenomenon under the umbrella of Yum! brands, the world's largest restaurant company. This couldn't have happened in the USSR, China or India at the time -- then the world's three hugest aggregations of humanity -- but in the framework of American free enterprise the wheels of progress were well-greased.

How have they repaid The American Way Of Life? the Hut can't be blamed for its parent company's behavior, but aha, I see Yum! was "the most frequent advertise of trash TV" till nosed out by Subway. The Hut is either a star of that show or goes right along with the program!

http://www.americandecency.org/full_article.php?article_no=828

Ha, "the lesser of two evils" -- somebody's got a sense of humor just right for this age of endlessly piled-up ironies.

Whatever your political persuasion, take a look and see if you don't agree that it's INSTITUTIONS that are working 24/7 to wreck the American way of life that made their existence and prosperity possible. With Pizza Hut's ban on drivers arming themselves -- and even firing one who did so to great effect, removing a criminal from the gene pool -- it is revealed as a shocking case in point.

This just in -- I don't get it, but it looks ominous:

Proof Corporations are Looting America

As I expected, the sensational news I put up yesterday has been revealed to be fake -- a "satire" as my correspondent put it.

*or as some people would ungrammatically put it, "the forces arrayed against we the people".

"Justice" Scalia to quit and leave US?

This shocker seems unbelievable, but it appears in the New Yorker magazine?

Time will tell -- like about 5 hours from now. (I write at 1 AM Saturday.)

http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport/2013/03/bitter-scalia-leaves-us.html?mobify=0
Bitter Scalia Leaves U.S.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Justice Antonin Scalia dropped a bombshell on the Supreme Court today, announcing his decision to resign from the Court “effective immediately” and leave the United States forever.
Calling this week “by far the worst week of my life,” Justice Scalia lashed out at his fellow-Justices and the nation, saying, “I don’t want to live in a sick, sick country that thinks the way this country apparently thinks.”
Justice Scalia said that he had considered fleeing to Canada, “but they not only have gay marriage but also national health care, which is almost as evil.”
He said the fact that nations around the world recognizing same-sex marriage are “falling like deviant dominoes” would not deter him from leaving the United States: “There are plenty of other countries that still feel the way I do. I’ll move to Iran if I have to.”
Throwing off his robe in a dramatic gesture, Justice Scalia reserved his harshest parting shot for his fellow-Justices, screaming, “Damn you! Damn each and every one of you to hell! You call yourself judges? That’s a good one. You’re nothing but animals!”
Breathing heavily after his tirade, he turned to Justice Clarence Thomas and said, “Except you, Clarence. Are you coming with me?”
Justice Thomas said nothing in reply.

"Bitter Scalia leaves U.S?" Not yet..... Nothing about it in Scalia's Wikipedia article -- it makes him sound like the greatest right-winger ever, but that would be news to me. Gosh, he took our side on the Voting Rights Act!?!?!

http://www.economist.com/blogs/democracyinamerica/2013/02/voting-rights-act

I can't turn up any dirt on Mr. Scalia whatsoever, hmmm. He has weighed in (correctly) on Guantanamo-type issues, but other than that neither the above article, the Wikipedia page, nor anything else readily at hand even mentions the big big issue at hand -- ameriKa's quaint custom of raping other countries for Israel. Is that fine with His Honor?

Please let me know if you come across a lead in that direction -- but please, do me a favor and don't pronounce the gentleman's name with the accent on the second syllable. He's Italian, not Spanish, and there's no accent on the "i" even in his father's name, Salvatore Eugene Scalia. If anybody finds one we'll consider it -- but until then, please, no reflexive bowing to the PC currents of the time.

Another black spokesman against Obama

This is getting good!

http://www.westernjournalism.com/black-chamber-of-commerce-ceo-obama-is-tyrannical-and-borderline-communist/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Black Chamber Of Commerce CEO: Obama Is Tyrannical And Borderline Communist

His name is Henry C. Alford. The irony here is that he (rightly) decries Obama's opposition of the "right to work", i.e. to choose and work your job without being forced to join a union. This is a very key issue you don't hear much about. Forced unionism is one of the means by which gliberals have claimed for over a century to uplift the downtrodden classes --that's right, they purport to believe stealing freedom gives you more of it. So again a courageous minority spokesman dares to just stomp politely all over the gliberal myths we live by. Why isn't the interviewer more enthused?

More on Mr. Alford and his NAACP-defiant organization:

An army officer speaks up

Does he realize that neither Soetoro, the fedgov or Homeland Security is going to pay him any heed whatsoever?

Army Captain Demands DHS Give Up Their Weapons Of War

He's undoubtedly come a long way in his thinking. Is he ready to serve his country out of uniform as he never did in it -- addressing its enemies foreign and domestic without fear or favor?

No doubt he dodged actual bullets in the heat of battle in his youth with the best of intentions, and has untold thousands of youths have done so under his command. Is he ready for his government to fire on his fellow citizens?

More financial frankness with Jim Rogers

So -- it's true. In this the allegedly most enlightened and sophisticated age through all ages known and unknown, what the smart, hip nations have done is so stupid that even this genuine expert can't find a precedent for it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzV9d67Tt-U
Jim Rogers: Never In History Has This Been Seen

Do you think there's a chance that education, prestige, and fabulous wealth are no sign of actual intelligence taking place? Is there intelligent life on earth? Helloooo -- anybody there?

Poor Jim looks older and so tired in that show -- thank God he's so popular with the media and willing to do one interview after another. Showing real acumen, he warns people not to take his word or anybody's for anything. India is the greatest consumer of gold, he says, but he has no confidence in the place -- isn't that interesting!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RrIhdNnBdE
Jim Rogers on China's ascension, Wall Street's downfall and Obama's failure

I'm not at all sure I share his optimism for China's future. It is certainly is good to see it abandoning communism in everything but name. Slowly, but slowly..... I watched this documentary today, too -- and it is outstanding!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogaERyc44WE
Meltdown Episode 1 - The men who crashed the world

Play it in the background as you work or game, OK? Produced by Al Jazeera, it shows every bit of the cinematic finesse of a high-dollar ameriKan documentary. Through it you are going to see the exact culprits named, interviewed, and nailed as far as that part went. (Alan Greenscam and scads of others are still on the loose, undoubtedly collecting bigggg speakers' fees.) Be warned, though, that it may leave you with absolutely no respect for the people running things whatsoever. They're either monumentally stupid or epically rotten, and both are a failing grade!

Further proof that the Greatest Country That Has Ever Existed has a negative IQ:

http://www.thedailymeal.com/180000-deaths-worldwide-associated-sugary-drinks

Yes, even the "worldwide" part applies to the Greatest Country: who else got the world consuming soda, chewing gum and cigarettes?

"Blame America first" -- an idea whose time is perilously close to where we're standing. I don't embrace it ipso facto, but wow, it's fun to take out for a spin every morning at 3!

TV set hemorrhages truth while Lew Rockwell is on; new buzzphrase -- "subscription to a false tax return"

Llewellyn H. Rockwell Jr. is a pioneer of the saner forms of Libertarianism. If you loved our late Great One, you'll enjoy this show:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AfQnNosiwI
Lew Rockwell: Your Money is Safer Under the Mattress than in a Bank

What an interview -- how much politically-incorrect truth can be packed into four and a half minutes? When Lew calls banks the enemy, it's almost like having Dr. Clarkson back again. Our hero also preached repudiation of criminal and fraudulent debt (you know, like everything the Fed does). Lew's Wikipedia bio is quite interesting -- what do you know, he founded the Hillsdale College Press and the renowned school's famous general-circulation newsletter Imprimis:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lew_Rockwell

It gets deliciously mercurial at mention of Henry Hazlett among Lew's influences. I'd heard the name, but had no idea he was such a pioneer of free thought, died at age 99 the year after I moved to South Carolina

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Hazlitt

.......or that he succeeded H.L. Mencken at the help of the American Mercury magazine! Gee, I don't think Lew wants his name mentioned in the same breath as Hazlitt's. It's fine, even chic, to be Libertarian, but let's not go conservative here, huh?

................."Subscription to a false tax return" -- what can it mean?

http://www.businessweek.com/ap/2012-03/D9TJRR583.htm
Ex-IRS agent sentenced for $8M securities scam

Next question -- did this tax goon get his idea from reading about South Carolina's own Ron Wilson?

Golden Dawn speaker puts our (?) best to shame

Golden Dawn is the most extraordinary political party (or entity resembling one) to come along in a great long time. They've been vilified as Hitlerites but don't believe everything you read -- the better a person or thing is, the louder the small and deficient will scream about it.

Maybe you've heard about this true grassroots movement in Greece -- maybe not. Everybody needs to, because it shows what can still be done even under difficult conditions like those here in the USA. Now, that rarest of rare birds -- a chance to hear what a Hitler-of-the-Month figure actually has to say for himself. In this case, a member of the Greek parliament:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUR6Yu0H04w
GOLDEN DAWN MP ILIAS KASIDIARIS (ENGLISH SUBS)

I'm trying to think of even one right-of-center politician who speaks this way -- passion, eloquence, no notes, just the force of truth. No wonder gliberals hate this group -- they're utterly unapologetic re their populism, and dare to speak above a cocktail-party murmur!

..........This just in today, too. The great news is that a very meek-sounding lady dared to claim her rights in the face of two (!) bullying policemen. The big news is that she has a foreign accent -- maybe Hispanic-sounding? Most "minority" activism is vastly, overwhelmingly leftward.

People power -- nothing like it!

With friends like these Republicans, who needs enemies?

The above refrain is heard constantly now that the Republican Party has been revealed as merely the other Democrat Party in so many, many ways. I was a staunch Republican, once -- but in fight after fight, issue after issue, it was Republican politicians who either led the way to destruction or snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. What's going on, I asked myself -- are they all bad guys, nobody wearing white hats in this drama?

The answer is, in all honesty, that if there are any actual good guys in "mainstream" politics, they're increasingly, miserably, dismally hard to find. Name the issue and without much trouble I'll name the GOP "heroes" who've thoughtfully, sensitively reached across the aisle and saved the other side's self-esteem by keeping it from experiencing the heartbreak of defeat. We have discussion forum threads, but they're so starkly honesty I'm not allowed ot share them here.

Today's headlines bring new crushing ironies to this picture:

http://thenerve.org/news/2013/03/21/obamacare-hearing/?utm_source=The+Nerve&utm_campaign=4d06d4e0e1-Today_on_The_Nerve03_21_2013&utm_medium=email
Does Amended House Bill Nullify S.C.’s Efforts to Nullify Obamacare?

So -- you can spend months doing it right, rallying citizens to socially proper lobbying efforts, doing it the politicians' way, using diplomacy, facts and suasion to help them see that -- for instance -- it would be wrong for the states to allow one president to destroy 300 million people's health care. You can beautifully organize getting citizens to repeatedly travel to the state house -- you can fly in one of the topmost names in freedom science to testify. You can pack a hearing with 300 concerned citizens who've taken time off from work and life to exercise the citizen's supposed right to representative government.

You can probably fly to the moon, produce a cure for cancer, give each politician a million bucks in a cash envelope..... but in the end, the politicians will go with the politically correct flow against you, dashing to pieces your hopes of a future for your grandchildren, spitting in your face as they pull you and your family further under the yoke of communism! And in the present case, it will be Republicans who side with a communistic Democrat pseudo-president against your fondest hopes and most pressing needs -- yea, even in South Carolina, supposedly one of the most conservative entities in existence!

Oh, yeah, the politicians know better than the people -- trust them.

Déjà vu is the unhappy experience of a truth warrior over time. Here it's got a ghoulish edge: In one of the most important cultural battlefronts of the 20th century -- the Confederate flag battle in S.C. -- it was Republicans and Sons of Confederate Veterans judas goats that sold the people out. Rep. Rick Quinn is cited as a front runner in the present Obummercare betrayal, and Quinn was among the biggest sellouts in the endgame of the flag fight. He was thrown out of office in the next election after that great betrayal, but apparently learned nothing from the experience.

He and others are supposedly with us on the health care issue but quibble with key particulars enough to vote against them, supposedly to improve the bill at hand. Trust them, they're the professionals. They're from the government, and they're here to help you!

Wait a while.... haven't we been here before? Oh -- that other eerie sensation of familiarity must stem from the 1998 Slick Willy impeachment hearings! That was the time we came so close, so very close, to finally seeing one of our worst tormentors go down in political flames.... but strangely enough, even Republican politicians managed to pull reasons not to finish the job out of the hat.

Help me out here -- one of them's name was Flimsey Flam, or something like that..... oh, yeah, a famed Southern senator made national headlines by voting for some but not all of the articles of impeachment and -- for the good of the country, dont'cha know -- keeping Slick in office after all he'd done to disgrace it. Why, it was none other than South Carolina's very own pseudo-Republican demigod, Lindsey Graham!

The above article mentions the Tenth Amendment Center out west. Wonder what its problem is. Hey, I'm starting to wonder about the S.C. Policy Council that produced this report -- any idea why it keeps putting "nullify" and "nullification" in scare quotes? Do these words no longer stand for the noble desire of a people for self-government, as exemplified by South Carolina's bold stand for it in 1860? Who at the Policy Council finds these words so icky-poo they put in rubber gloves to handle them? Sure, they're quoting speakers in some cases, but not others.

May events make a fool out of the column you're reading. May the bill pass with its original teeth with the approval of Quinn, Pope and company. But if it turns out that way as it properly should, I'll eat fried chicken on the roof.

Don't look for Republican politicians to save you. Yes, they're paid to do so, but others I'm not allowed to mention pay them more not to.

An apt summary of the notion that.... the public is public enemy #1

Well, that's what it all boils down, to, isn't it? Every day brings new declarations, direct or otherwise, that we, the people, can't trusted with guns, rights, facts or hey, sharp objects.

http://godfatherpolitics.com/9881/fbi-you-might-be-a-terrorist-if-you-breathe/#ixzz2O3l5vRny
FBI: You Might be a Terrorist if You Breathe

It seems like only yesterday that we were amidst a never-ending nightmare called the Clinton administration, featuring the daily media presence of his Martian freak of an Attorney General, Janet Reno. The freak was accused of having stated in a 60 Minutes interview that people who pray, homeschool their children, and shoot guns were major threats to society. Would you believe that was nineteen years ago, already?

It appears Freakessa didn't really say any of that. But sometimes an urban legend contains more truth than the surface reality people live by. Now it's the Obummer age, and Barry's Venutian freak of a Homeland Security capo -- another Janet -- is such a carbon copy of her it's scary. Nobody's accusing Ms Napolitano of transsexualism as they did "Johnny" Reno, but nobody's giving either gal a Better Homes and Gardens Model Housewife award. The authenticity of Reno's quote has often been challenged and no proof of it has ever turned up. So far I can't find anybody doubting or disputing these hateful, bigoted words of "Cousin" Janet's, though -- and something tells nobody ever will.

Even if this new quote is successfully debunked, however, it is clearly revelatory of the mindset and agenda driving the Obummistas. Hey, I like the part of the statement that says "Gas station attendants are told to look out for customers who put gas in gas cans"-- it perfectly mirrors a scene in the 1956 movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I got a VHS copy in a thrift shop and play it over and over during my solitary mealtimes. What a great allegory of the Cause we embrace, whether or not it was meant that way!

As the romantic leads in the story are frantically racing out of town to warn the world of the alien plague that's taking over, they stop to get gas. The attendant and his wife question our heroes while serving them, but when they drive off we, the audience, learn the questioners have already been body-snatched and are among the rapidly growing ranks of humanity's mutant enemies.

I certainly wish all ameriKans would view this old film, preferably the original black and white version. Among other things, it depicts the orderly, cohesive society that was America back then, untroubled and unpolluted by "political correctness."

But of course if the producers and stars of the film had their way, everybody would come away from it saying "Wow, mindless conformity is such a danger -- thank Fate we don't suffer from it in today's diverse, welcoming USA" rather than "This movie, 57 years old, depicts exactly what any lover of truth endures today in ever-worsening communist ameriKa!"

Something really scary to me is how time races past. The entire lead cast of IotBS is dead, but I can't convince myself they're not just easing into their 70s and 80s about now! When email put everybody in the world in touch with each other twenty years ago, I found Kevin McCarthy's site and asked him whether the movie was intended allegorically. He said it certainly was, but denies it in an interview concluding a special anniversary edition.

The truth is no doubt that (1) Hollywood wanted to make another horror movie gripping enough to gross five tons of money; (2) mirroring the moral tone of the time was simply what entertainment did back then; (3) IotBS was made during the Second Red Scare, and the Jutes running Hollywood looked on it as a great opportunity to "teach tolerance" to the white-bread, Anglo-Saxon America surrounding they had always hated and still do.

The Times Examiner on RINOs

With apologies to those living elsewhere, we're back to South Carolina again today. The reasons for this recurring theme are multiple. Through history, S.C. has sometimes earned a reputation for rebellion against things in need of it. "First gallant South Carolina nobly made the stand" for secession in 1860, as the old song says. The Palmetto State has produced great pioneers and defenders of freedom galore -- John C. Calhoun, three Wade Hamptons (the first born in Virginia), Andrew Jackson, Francis Marion, signers, drafters and not least Robert Clarkson.

At present, no small thanks to our Great One, this state is at least one of the topmost in terms of rightist activism and sentiment. This attracts great outsiders (Christian Exodus) and leads to real progress (2000s Real ID victory, 1990s Confederate flag war) and smaller battles for freedom too. Leftists re known stay away because of this cachet.

I just love being here -- not only because of the above but because its climate is the best compromise I'm aware of in the US and its people a huge improvement on Zew Jersey where I spent most of my life. The downside is of course that politically this state coasts stupidly ever further down into the sewer of leftwing idiocy, banality and corruption. Yes, socialism's the word! And the way people just accept it and keep kissing the politicians' feet over and over (or ignoring the subject blithely letting them run riot, take your pick) is endlessly sickening.

This is the last state you'd expect to suffer a serious plague of neocons ("neoconservatives", total fakers of the Bush and Cheney type) or RINOs ("Republicans in name only" -- mostly very liberal Democrats who have switched their party for cynical tactical purposes only). But oh boy, we've got the blight, and it keeps getting worse. Here's an editorial on it (thanks, Kendra), just in from one of the great print papers left -- Greenville's own Times Examiner. This paper is part neocon "Mr. Hyde" but its noble "Dr. Jekyll" aspects can't be beat.

http://www.timesexaminer.com/bob-dill/1405-rinos-in-panic-mode-straw-man-distracts-from-truth
RINOs in Panic Mode, “Straw Man” Distracts from Truth

If the RINOs really are in panic mode, it couldn't happen to a more fitting bunch. Wake me when it's over, would you?

The Iraq pseudo-war in (?) retrospect; COME TO COLUMBIA THIS WEDNESDAY

Pseudo, because "war" normally indicates a fight in which the parties have at least a roughly equal chance at winning. (Iraq never did.) The question mark because retrospect implies pastness, and of course ghouls like John McCain have gleefully kvelled that the "war" on "terror" will last a hundred years.

In other words, the chaos will never end as long as the Permanent Regime remains in power in Washington. Eric Margolis is the kind of writer who can summarize such a nightmare as this better than most ameriKan pundits (he's Canadian) and without too many gratuitous Semitic swipes at "America's right wing." (He's an ethnic liberal, so he's allowed to insult the world's intelligence by using said phrase to sum up the gang of bloodthirsty communists known as the George W. Bush administration without getting laughed out of the media industry.)

http://lewrockwell.com/margolis/margolis332.html
The Iraq Disaster Haunts America

......Josiah sends some exciting news about lobbying efforts in the SC capitol:

Dear friends,

Can we fill twenty-one more bus seats by Tuesday night?

This Wednesday at 6am patriots from across Upstate South Carolina will meet at the Hollywood 20 Cinema parking lot on Woodruff Rd.  We will depart for Columbia on a Jean's charter bus to exercise our most potent method of influence as citizens: a visit to our state legislators.

So far the response has been down from the first ACG/Tea Party bus trip on January 8th.  But this event is just as important, and even more historic.  At the time of this writing we still needed 21 seats filled on the bus.  Will you claim your place on one of those seats?  South Carolina is counting on you to invite your friends and neighbors and come join us!

Why should you come?  On Wednesday, March 20, the Constitutional Laws subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee has the chance to approve what would be the first bill in the nation to put necessary "teeth" into Obamacare Nullification.  Unlike nullification bills in several other states, H3101 imposes civil and criminal penalties for enforcement of the unconstitutional actions pending under Obamacare.  These pending actions include Federal home "visitations," "behavioral modification" of children, keeping medicine away from ailing patients, "transformation of communities," and the infamous individual mandate to buy health insurance.

Obamacare is perhaps the worst piece of legislation ever to pass both houses of Congress and be signed supposedly into law.  However, it is not law, because it violates the United States Constitution and the moral Law of God.  Do you agree?

If so, we need your help to fill the bus!

The esteemed Walter E. Williams, economist and Professor at George Mason University, is confirmed to be testifying at this hearing on behalf of our bill.  Kent Masterson Brown, known as one of the best constitutional attorneys in our country, will also be testifying for H3101!  Don't miss your chance to hear both these heroes in person!

If you are positively unable to make it, perhaps you could consider sponsoring another individual who is not able to afford the trip.  The cost is only $30 and includes a Chick-fil-A lunch.

Please contact Chris Lawton immediately if you are able to ride the bus Wednesday morning, or if you will be sponsoring a seat!  His phone number is 864-325-6400.  You may send your check for $30 to Precinct Patriots Pack, Inc., 1 Arundel Rd., Greenville, SC 29615.  For more details, you may call me at 864-420-7933.

The hearing itself will be held at the Blatt Building at Room 110 at 9am.  The bus will return to the Hollywood 20 parking lot no later than 3pm.

Thanks so much to each of you who are already going, and all who are fighting alongside us for liberty, law, and the future of our families and our state.

Sincerely,

Josiah

What price gold freedom?

http://www.kitco.com/reports/KitcoNews201303153DeC_1.html
News Of Possible Probe Of London Fixings Raises Eyebrows In Gold Market

Well, hush my mouth, the high and mighty are actually considering there might be something wrong or crooked about having self-appointed gnomes "fix" the price of gold each day. Will wonders never cease! But could there really be anything untoward about a gang of financial mandarins openly controlling the price of the world's favorite metal? Hey, just because prices aren't "fixed" on other things we love -- ice cream, motor oil, vinyl siding, cell phones -- what's the big deal? Gold's only one little commodity.

The real-life humor here is that the pundits think the daily fixery is just fine on principle, they're just concerned that it's not transparent enough. This would be sort of like Congress sudden;y scratching its head and musing whether there might be something wrong with the Federal Reserve after its century of dollar destruction -- not with the Fed itself on principle, but with its operations, don'tcha know. If you have a shoebox full of junk silver or maybe a few krugerrands squirreled away and have thrilled to see how the royal metals have soared in price since the Greater Depression began, rest assured that without these gnomes lookinhg after things every day their value would be..... much greater, in all likelihood. Maybe even 5 or 10 thousand per ounce for the shiny yellow stuff?

Are they serving or servicing us?

Funny world -- where's my funnybone?

The time is now for SC to NULLIFY Obummercare.... suddenly, a BIG privacy victory!

The following is from Talbert Black. Josiah Magnuson invites you to come to Columbia on the bus trip this Wednesday to lobby the politicians! Please call him at 864-420-7933 right away.

As you know, for the first time in our history, Americans are going to be forced to purchase health insurance – or be penalized heavily by the federal government.
The good news is, you and I have an opportunity to stop ObamaCare in its tracks if H3101 passes.

But only if the subcommittee actually votes!

The bad news is, H3101 will die Wednesday if we don’t force the South Carolina House subcommittee to actually vote on it!
I’ve included the subcommittee members below with their telephone numbers.

Please call them today!

You see, they’ve scheduled another hearing for testimony on Wednesday, March 20th at 9:00 a.m. in room 110 of the Blatt building.

That, in and of itself, is not a problem.

But, if we let them, they’ll "listen to testimony" until the cows come home and never vote.
And if they never vote, the bill never becomes law.

It’s the same is if they voted "NO"!

The sponsor of H3101, Representative Bill Chumbly, has invited two special witnesses to testify at the subcommittee hearing, one of which is Walter E. Williams.

After they testify . . .  it’s time for the subcommittee to vote.

Any additional testimony will simply delay the vote and give the subcommittee members an excuse for not voting.
You see, ObamaCare would enact up to 20 new taxes, costing American taxpayers up to $500 BILLION over a ten-year period.

Not only that, but it will also impact every employer and employee in the U.S. – further constraining job creation and economic growth.

The truth is, the Employer Mandate within ObamaCare will force most companies to provide and pay for expensive government-determined health insurance for their employees or face federal fines.

But that’s not all.

Under ObamaCare’s "anti-conscience mandate," religious institutions and organizations will be required to provide services to their employees that are contrary to their ethical and moral beliefs, like sterilization, contraceptives, and abortion-inducing drugs.

No matter what one’s beliefs are, the federal government shouldn’t be forcing any private institution or religious organization to perform duties that run contrary to their core values and beliefs.

It is vital that South Carolina stands up for its citizens and our rights.

It’s just not enough for politicians to SAY they oppose ObamaCare . . .  that doesn’t help us one little bit.  They must actually VOTE against it.
And H3101 is the only bill that will completely nullify ObamaCare.

I dare say that members of the subcommittee heard as much testimony as they need at the last hearing. . .  and I’d bet the farm that any additional testimony is not going to change their minds.

It’s time to have the vote, and hold them accountable for it.
You see, they think they have the advantage if they don’t vote.  They think we can’t hold them accountable for not voting.

They are wrong!

Because you and I know that if they chose not to vote, we’ll treat it just the same as voting "NO".

So please, call the members of the subcommittee and tell them that it is time to vote.
No more delays.

No more endless testimony.

Just a simple vote . . .  YES or NO.

Tell them that not voting will be treated the same as a "NO" vote.

It is critically important that you contact each member of the subcommittee and tell them these two things:

1. A vote must be taken Wednesday.  No more delays!

2. Vote for H3101, the real nullification bill.

Be polite, but leave no mistake in their mind that this is the most critical vote of their entire political career.

Bruce Bannister, Chairman (803) 734-3138 Tommy Pope (803) 212-6895 Rick Quinn (803) 212-6897 James Smith (803) 734-2997 Walt McLeod (803) 734-3276

Please call IMMEDIATELY.

Demand they VOTE and PASS H3101.

In Liberty,

Talbert Black
State Coordinator
South Carolina Campaign for Liberty

P.S.  It’s vital you contact these Senators before the hearing on Nullification on Wednesday morning at 9:00 and tell them two things: (1) They must VOTE on H3101.  No more delays.  (2) The must PASS H3101.

Bruce Bannister, Chairman (803) 734-3138 Tommy Pope (803) 212-6895 Rick Quinn (803) 212-6897 James Smith (803) 734-2997 Walt McLeod (803) 734-3276

Let them know you support H3101.  This is the only bill that will nullify ObamaCare right here in SC, and protect our citizens from the Federal Government inflicting ObamaCare on us.

Newsroom : More American Workers Outsourcing Own Jobs Overseas

http://www.newsoftheweird.com/archive/
A Verizon risk team, looking for data breaches on a client's computers, discovered that one company software developer was basically idle for many months, yet remained productive -- because he had outsourced his projects to a Chinese software developer who would do all the work and send it back. The employee earned several hundred thousand dollars a year, according to a January Los Angeles Times report, but paid the Chinese worker only about $50,000. The risk team eventually learned that sensitive company information was flowing to and from Chinese terminals, leading the company to suspect hackers, but that traffic was merely the U.S. employee (obviously, "ex-employee" now) sending and receiving his workload. The U.S. man showed up for work every day, but spent his time leisurely web-surfing. [Los Angeles Times via Tampa Bay Times, 1-20-2013]

Greatest statistics since those on sheriffs

Weeks ago the news swept that nation that X number of sheriffs and other relevant law enforcement personnel were openly declaring that they wouldn't enforce wrongful, unlawful federal mandates in their state. This was in reference to some existing laws but more significantly to thefts of rights that all decent people are concerned might come to pass as the economy and the society continue to implode.

Which persons in uniform are willing to fire on their fellow ameriKans because the latter own more guns or ammo than the increasingly tyrannical fedgov wants them to, or because they're "guilty" of collecting rainwater on their own property, or, or, or? Way too many are. But which ones are refusing to do so? The numbers aren't great, but they're way beyond what the fedgov wants to hear.

We all heard on the radio this week that gun manufacturers are now starting to give the System a taste of its own medicine -- in effect boycotting jurisdictions that are stealing citizens' Second Amendment rights. Now, these numbers are exciting, considering there have to be a lot fewer gun makers than there are sheriffs:

SC politicians to lose some cover? I mean gain some transparency

"South Carolina stands alone", the article begins. A portentious four words, isn't it! Yes, the Patriot Network's home state has a lot of distinctions, for both good and ill. It was first in secession, somewhat typical for its on-off passion for independence and righteous principles through the centuries. For this and its fame as a center of conservative "family values", it was chosen as the focus state for Christian Exodus -- a very high distinction, but (there's always a "but" in the age of political correctness) it never came to much, alas.

S.C. also has a long history at the bottom of the states in public school prowess and so forth. I've read that we're one of the states most cursed by environmental degradation and political corruption. Thank God for the S.C. Policy Council -- it does a magnificent job exposing the latter every day, partly via this website:

http://thenerve.org/news/2013/03/08/ethics-bills/?utm_source=The+Nerve&utm_campaign=c6311b0e9a-Today_on_The_Nerve03_08_2013&utm_medium=email
State Law Allows Public Officials to Hide Private Income Sources

........“S.C. is the only state to require just one source of income to be disclosed: government income,” states the report from the South Carolina Commission on Ethics Reform, an 11-member panel appointed by Gov. Nikki Haley that made 23 recommendations in January to reform state ethics laws.

During a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing Thursday on several ethics bills, Henry McMaster and Travis Medlock, two former S.C. attorneys general who chaired the ethics-reform panel, emphasized the importance of public officials disclosing all sources of income – both government and private.

Medlock told the subcommittee he was a member of the S.C. House in 1969 when he tried to get disclosure of private sources of income into an ethics bill.......

Every state suffers a greater or lesser degree of corruption but very few have a high-profile, professional-quality site dedicated to shining light on the illustrious pin-striped cockroaches. Quite a surprise that Robert's cousin Henry is in the lead here. He did give RBC some help in his many legal defenses, God bless him, but has a reputation as a neocon. Both he and Travis Medlock were trouble during the Confederate flag fight.

Maybe they'll redeem themselves with this action. Maybe God will forgive this blogger, too, for his cynical gut reaction to it -- wondering their real motivation might be.

Tell everybody about the Policy Council, The Nerve, the Patriot Network, and this blog!

Your fair share, cont.: what federal "workers" aren't paying

Most people you know want you to pony up your portion of the federal budget each April 15. They're afraid of what could happen "if everybody did you what you do" in declining to feed the 666-beast. Yet how often do we hear how fedgov employees are stiffing their own hallowed employer -- even IRS goons?

The latest model:

http://bostonherald.com/business/business_markets/2013/03/federal_workers_owe_35_billion_in_back_taxes
Federal workers owe $3.5 billion in back taxes

At such times my thoughts run to how long ago it might have been that the entire federal budget was counted in a handful of billions. Toward this end I've just attempted to find a chart or timeline of the size of the budget through history and utterly failed to via google -- me, the champion info mole! So we won't drive that ironic point home just now. But last year's budget was 3.729 trillion bucks -- thus the abovementioned stiffing of the public purse accounts for roughly one dollar out of every thousand Uncle Sam spends.

Should one press to have the fedgovniks pay up, or thank God that the fedgov has that tiny percentage less moola to throw around? Oyy, the tough decisions of this age!

A classically all-American business we all love and enjoy.... doomed?

Via email -- /\/.

Hobby Lobby May Close

Posted on March 1, 2013 by sfaw1

David Sloan “The wisdom that comes from above is, first, pure, then
peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits,
without uncertainty or insincerity.” – James 3:17 By David Green, the founder
and CEO of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.
When my family and I started our company 40 years ago, we were working
out of a garage on a $600 bank loan, assembling miniature picture
frames.. Our first retail store wasn’t much bigger than most people’s
living rooms, but we had faith that we would succeed if we lived and
worked according to God’s word. From there, Hobby Lobby has become one
of the nation’s largest arts and crafts retailers, with more than 500
locations in 41 states. Our children grew up into fine business
leaders, and today we run Hobby Lobby together, as a family.
We’re Christians, and we run our business on Christian principles. I’ve
always said that the first two goals of our business are (1) to run our
business in harmony with God’s laws, and (2) to focus on people more
than money. And that’s what we’ve tried to do. We close early so our
employees can see their families at night. We keep our stores closed on
Sundays, one of the week’s biggest shopping days, so that our workers
and their families can enjoy a day of rest. We believe that it is by
God’s grace that Hobby Lobby has endured, and he has blessed us and our
employees. We’ve not only added jobs in a weak economy, we’ve raised
wages for the past four years in a row. Our full-time employees start
at 80% above minimum wage.
But now, our government threatens to change all of that. A new
government healthcare mandate says that our family business MUST
provide what I believe are abortion-causing drugs as part of our health
insurance. Being Christians, we don’t pay for drugs that might cause
abortions, which means that we don’t cover emergency contraception, the
morning-after pill or the week-after pill. We believe doing so might
end a life after the moment of conception, something that is contrary
to our most important beliefs. It goes against the Biblical principles
on which we have run this company since day one. If we refuse to
comply, we could face $1.3 million PER DAY in government fines.
Our government threatens to fine job creators in a bad economy. Our
government threatens to fine a company that’s raised wages four years
running. Our government threatens to fine a family for running its
business according to its beliefs. It’s not right. I know people will
say we ought to follow the rules; that it’s the same for everybody.
But that’s not true. The government has exempted thousands of companies
from this mandate, for reasons of convenience or cost. But it won’t
exempt them for reasons of religious belief.
So, Hobby Lobby and my family are forced to make a choice. With great
reluctance, we filed a lawsuit today, represented by the Becket Fund
for Religious Liberty, asking a federal court to stop this mandate
before it hurts our business. We don’t like to go running into court,
but we no longer have a choice. We believe people are more important
than the bottom line and that honoring God is more important than
turning a profit.
My family has lived the American dream. We want to continue growing
our company and providing great jobs for thousands of employees, but
the government is going to make that much more difficult. The
government is forcing us to choose between following our faith and
following the law. I say that’s a choice no American and no American
business should have to make.
The government cannot force you to follow laws that go against your
fundamental religious belief. They have exempted thousands of companies
but will not except Christian organizations including the Catholic
church.
Since you will not see this in the liberal media, please pass this on
to all your contacts.
Sincerely,
David Green
CEO and Founder of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.

Incredibly rich vein of comment on illustrious, august, portentious 21st-century babble

You remember Newspeak, right? The grossly oversimplified pidgin language the absolutist Big Brother government in Orwell's 1984 to keep people's thinking stupid and malleable?

We live newspeak. We think, breathe, eat and sing newspeak -- even us smart people, far more than lots of us have any idea. Doublespeak is a closely related concept. Laurence M. Vance is blowing the lid off it all! As you enjoy this dialectical banquet, please plan concretely to cleans your speech and thought of all manufactured clichés and memes. Liberate your friends in this department -- they may kick, scream and resist, but they'll thank you in the end.

Military Doublespeak

It is certainly painful to read the first article. Seemingly every new day brings a new, unbearable tallying of pseudo-Christian, pseudo-conservative, faux-Republican thinking and nonsense that is now dominating or bedeviling the entire world. The good news may be that the bad news is wrong (trite meme-injecting book title of 30 years ago) but the bad news is the "good" people are Dr. Strangelove's children, not those of God as they imagine.

Could it be that everything in our minds is upside-down and inside-out -- everything? Just whose Matrix is this, anyway?

Solutions are so simple -- so much of the time

The above is one of the principles I work hardest to lay down polemically. Everything they're doing to us, they justify by calling it too complicated for hoi polloi to ever understand. But consider the gang problem, for instance:

http://www.amren.com/news/2013/03/flash-mob-thwarted-by-police/

There you go -- police show up, even canceled. What's the worst that would happen if cities or states simply outlawed gang membership? I believe the record is unbroken -- I'm the only commentator putting these things in such terms.

Rats leaving the ship.... via any rope they can grab

I have my doubts about Benjamin Fulford, but how can you argue with this material when it's all taken from top "mainstream" sources?

http://investmentwatchblog.com/are-the-elite-going-into-hiding-pope-quits-head-of-dhs-quits-rockefellers-flee-to-fiji-queen-cancels-engagements-more-list-growing-daily/

Are the elite going into hiding? Pope quits. Head of DHS quits. Rockefellers flee to Fiji. Queen cancels engagements,+ more & list growing daily!

All except the juiciest part, alas -- the Rockefeller/Rottenfellers material. Quoth the compiler:

The Rockefeller syndicate has destroyed the Bush syndicate (US Nazi-continuum) and is nearing completion (it thinks) of the destruction of the Rothschild fiat paper banking empire. But the Rothschilds are still standing and may flip-flop to the Light (real or theatrically) if push becomes shove. It’s rats fighting in the sack. Mutual assured destruction. Push is becoming shove and shove is becoming crunch.

Before the Rockefellers fled the US, they stripped the US Federal Reserve System of all major assets, just as previously they had stripped Fort Knox of all deliverable, non-tungsten, gold. Both these Rockefeller acts have caused the Chicago syndicate in DC (Obama et al) numerous day-to-day cashflow and legal headaches.

The 3/11 Japanese Tsunami (nukes on submarine fault line) was not a warning to Japan; it was a warning to the Rockefellers about their Fiji vulnerability.
All the royal families and their shadow banksters are bricking in the closet, afraid to go to sleep at night. Their worst nightmares are returning alive with an unclean bite to the heart.

There does seem to be a strange pattern overall. Nobody but nobody resigns from the pope job. My recollection is that frequent resignations and firings marked the Boy George Bush years -- as far as ameriKan politicians go, maybe the new normal is heads rolling regularly as in some 1970s Latin American dictatorship or communist hellhole.

Dictatorship, communist, hellhole -- that's us! Everybody follow ameriKa and do what it does. Everybody mimic ameriKa as hard as you can. Stability is boring, so white bread!

Don't follow us, we're lost too.

Coffee filters -- the prepper's left hand?

Raiding Freedom's Phoenix again after way too long -- all manner of good bad, thrilling news there. I'm not a prepper (always planning to be, of course) but love this kind of stuff.

http://wakeup-world.com/2013/03/03/28-ways-to-use-coffee-filters-for-survival/

If it really does help remove spots on clothing, that would bring a small revolution in my existence by itself.

The site reports on the "Sinkhole That Swallowed Fla. Man" while another shows a highway crumbling halfway up a mountainside in Arizona that is believed to be slithering toward earth wholesale. "Though the mountains may fall and the hills turn to dust" -- refrain to a ditty that Catholics croon every Sunday to guitar accompaniment. Were the Bible verses that it's based on not only poetic but literal? Are we living in the time it's coming true? A link at godlikeproductions has it that every 25,000 years there's another massive restructuring of the earth's surface. Even Wikipedia avows that Pangaia, the mother continent of all the others, cataclysmically comes back together periodically to start the process over again.
