South Carolina native Lawrence Wilkerson is a retired United States Army Colonel and former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell. In another blog I've scored him for too-weak truthtelling about Boy George Bush and his despicable warmongering. But now, if he means what he's saying on that subject, he's risking his neck for the truth and deserves recognition.

Everybody alive in 2010 -- EVERYBODY without exception -- knew as they heard the Busheviks' ranting their "weapons of mass destruction" meme into existence that it was a big fat lie. Bush, Cheney, Powell, the Democrats, the media, the people watching on their sets at home, the schoolchildren. They knew it, or they -- at least the adults -- need psychiatric help. It was such a transparent pack of political lies, so obviously manufactured from scratch, so fetid with Hegelian dialectics (especially after Bush-41's reign of terror and Slick Willy's Monica war?) that there couldn't have been a soul alive who was honestly duped.
I and other Constitutionalists were told at the time that we were crazy or evil for disputing Georgie, but what could possibly be more insane than chronically sending US troops to fight other people's wars to begin with, failing to learn the lessons of every such adventure from the Spanish-American War through Vietnam, and frothing at the mouth to bomb former allies who are only guilty of living near Israel while gentile?

"TROLLS" -- I like that, as long as we can't have columnists calling them what they really are. I dispute the currently faddish liberal notion of civility (guess I'm not a very good "civil society organization") and call for everybody to start calling these politicians what they are -- traitors, mass murderers, genocidal maniacs, thieves, liars, monsters. Certainly Cheney is a hateful, frightening psychopath, a creature with less human content than a moon rock. We fail to see these fine qualities in our politicians at our mortal peril.
The above'-linked writer, Alan Guebert, is good and sarcastic, and proper sarcasm happens to be one of the vital nutrients most crucially missing from people's political diets today. I'm sarcastic -- are you sarcastic? Please be sarcastic -- in the right way against the right targets, frequently. God is sarcastic, so are many of the Bible's writers under his inspiration.

Billboards for this folderol are still up around greater Greenville, even in Anderson. Its motto, as you see, is "GET MOTIVATED! GET EDUCATED! GET AHEAD!" -- the purely humanist, materialist program one might expect from the bipartisan roster of celebrities committing it.
Let's take a look at the swells in question and their rate of "getting ahead":
Rudy Giuliani -- one of the most-cursed neocons, the famous cross-dresser "served two terms as Mayor of New York City, having run on the Republican and Liberal lines" in Wikipedia's guileless terms. Thank God, he totally failed to get anywhere with his 2008 pezidential campaign, possibly because of his "family values" record -- his wife had to sue to keep his mistress, Judith Nathan, out of Gracie Mansion:

Colon Powell -- he's still tolerated and even worshiped despite his central role in the Georgie Bush admnistration, but history will condemn him as one of its most remarkable hitmen. What's this in his Wiki page -- more conservatiberal political striping? The ultimate icon of mindless Republican bellicosity, it says, was "put forth as a potential Democratic Vice Presidential nominee in the 1992 U.S. Presidential Election"! Obviously, having a consistent political or moral identity wasn't high on the list of criteria used in casting this production.
Bill Cosby got ahead, all right. A deity in the sitcom and stand-up comedy pantheon, he must have an Olympic swimming pool-sized bank account to match his ego. Having gone real-world for a brief spell in 2004 with his "pound cake speech" against youth decadence, the family-values icon has also spent years programming kids to eat junk food like Jello "pudding" and hosting the annual Playboy Jazz Festival.
Former First wife Barbara Bush (there's that name again) has achieved worldly success too, all right -- but what good is she? None as far as this blogger can tell, just like most presidential wives. Marrying into the fabulously wealthy and freakishly powerful Bush clan is not a particularly virtuous act, and sticking by her Bushman all these years is nothing more than what presidential wives are paid to do. But alas for her on Judgment Day, to know about a political crime and not blow the whistle is called misprision; we must pray she receives the full reward for it in the next life since nobody in this life is going to even call the old bat before a grand jury, the way things stand now. The spouse of the most Republican man alive since Lincoln, barbarian Barbara supports the "right" to kill one's unborn children in supposed contradiction of "Poppy's" position on the issue..... All of which just happens to be true of
Former First wife Laura Bush! One could pity her for having gotten hitched up with such a drunk, drugged pervert as Georgie the Younger, except that -- true to her much-handed-down job description -- his entire program of war against everything everywhere (except socialism and plutocracy) appears to have been just fine and dandy with her all these years. Lionized and cover-girled forever as a result of having hit the big time, she has per the script only uttered the most fulsome clichés of fashionable brainlessness -- even since she realized she just couldn't take Georgie's behavior anymore and reportedly took a downtown DC apartment. It may be that the two shrubs are no more together post-White House than Billary.
