Good news, continued? Banks hemorrhage depositors to CUs

650,000 Americans Joined Credit Unions Last Month — More Than In All Of 2010 Combined

Crunching numbers in relation to the larger population can be fun. 650,000 out of 300 million is 461. If only half of them are of banking age, that would be more like 230. Six hundred fifty G's is also 1700 people per day year round. One of you mathematicians out there well have to judge whether these figures are possible, but the real ones (whatever they be) must surely impress the banksters.

The poor bank moguls have a complicated life. They give us the gift of inflation, and now people are having less and less cash to deposit -- and it's intrinsically worth less and less! They swallowed their pride and accepted stimulus money "from the government", but now are so hard put they "have to" increase fees, driving business away. Unfortunately, this new development doesn't help tax patriots -- The Great One always asserted that CUs offer no more privacy than banking chains.

Starving the big banks certainly seems a great idea, though -- if one the sheeple could only come up with under extreme pressure. I went without bank accounts for my first decade here in SC, and now have only one very small account which was just ground down past zero by fees including minimum balance. Just think, if it were mathematically possible for 650,000 people to desert the banksters every month -- which they won't, Bank of America's new gougings being such a new subject -- that would be a total of 4,380,000 new credit union customers, or one out of every 68 ameriKan men, women and children.

I have a dream.... a lot of that kind, actually.
