The "business model" of MERS is ruled out of bounds; a bold new way for taxpayers to get violated

What's next, are they going to declare Obama a mean, sometimes truthless individual? Welcome news of course, but the irony just kills me!

.........There are police who take umbrage at being asked to identify themselves. One almost sees their point until you add up all the cases of people impersonating officers here in the upcountry alone. Enter a new form of spoofing on said citizens, who always seem to have their lunch eaten by somebody else:

Upstate Residents File Reports Of Tax Fraud

Are you required? (Famous freedom book title.) Are you, by definition, a taxpayer or nontaxpayer? If you're among those who've gotten off the tax treadmill, a further benefit is that you'll never fall victim to the above crime scenario -- and for you, April 15 is just another day.

...........One of the best friends SC has had in 150 years sends an important alert. Let me know if you'd like to meet at the committee room door:

Friends in SC:

The below was sent to me by B., one of the original “SC Sound Money Committee” leaders. To think that the bankers would roll over and allow serious (such as the Sen. Thomas & Rep. Pitts bills are) sound money proposals to progress without attempts at infiltrating the movement is a dangerous proposition. BEWARE of those that try “bait and switch” ideas to something that “sounds golden,” but ends up in more of the same realm of funny money, or who speak in error about what H-4128 would actually do.

I have attached a PDF that explains the legislative process in SC in simple terms, and particularly what is coming with respect to the Pitts bill. A HEARING IS SCHEDULED THIS WEEK! So that at least those I connect with know what’s going on, read the info below and attached, and act according to your means and talents. If you can be present for the subcommittee meeting, please do. (9:00 AM on Thursday morning, Room 516 of the Blatt Building at the State House complex.) Sign in and at least say the obvious: “I ask this committee to support passage of the Pitts bill.”

.........Haven't checked these videos but they're no doubt fine:

Troops March on White House for Ron Paul -- and not a peep on the TV News
Veterans for Ron Paul March on Washington

Of course, there wasn't a peep in the Greenville News when 1,000 came out to hear Dr. Paul in Greenville four years ago. They're very selective in the stories they provide.

.............Have you heard this pleasantly shocking news?

PayPal founder Peter Thiel donates $1.7M to Ron Paul PAC

I'm not sure what to make of this flap over Ron Paul and whether social conservatism makes for good campaign fodder. It did manage to get Ron mentioned on radio news this morning, so it's not entirely without merit.
