Tax hypocrisy of fedgov and fat cats knows no bounds

We're told that if the IRS taxed the rich harder it would barely make a dent in the country's deficits. That may be, but cutting out large corporations' obscene tax loopholes could, it appears, allow millions of working people to quit paying taxes. WHAT IS THE POINT of taxing both individuals and businesses? Two answers apply to both: greed and mass behavior modification.

Thank God for election years. They bring recognizably human behavior out of creatures who are clearly some other feral species. Vermont's Bernie Sanders is the only official socialist (=communist) in the U.S. Congress but oh, the decent human noises he's making while running for president! As you enjoy this article, remember that it's entirely possible that Bernie and the very fat cats he's decrying are partying together in some plutocratic resort right this minute.

Sanders to CEOs: Look in the Mirror

Sen. Bernie Sanders said corporate leaders should look in the mirror before lecturing the American people on ways to tackle the deficit. After the heads of more than 80 big companies issued a statement Thursday on deficit reduction, Sanders released a report detailing how many of the companies headed by the same CEOs have avoided taxes, sent American jobs overseas and took taxpayer bailouts. "There really is no shame," Sanders said. "The Wall Street leaders whose recklessness and illegal behavior caused this terrible recession are now lecturing the American people on the need for courage to deal with the nation's finances and deficit crisis. Before telling us why we should cut Social Security, Medicare and other vitally important programs, these CEOs might want to take a hard look at their responsibility for causing the deficit and this terrible recession."

"Our Wall Street friends might also want to show some courage of their own by suggesting that the wealthiest people in this country, like them, start paying their fair share of taxes. They might work to end the outrageous corporate loopholes, tax havens and outsourcing provisions that their lobbyists have littered throughout the tax code - contributing greatly to our deficit," Sanders added.

Many of the CEOs who signed the deficit-reduction letter run corporations that, in total, evaded at least $34.5 billion in taxes by setting up more than 600 subsidiaries in the Cayman Islands and other offshore tax havens since 2008.  As a result, at least a dozen of the companies avoided paying any federal income taxes in recent years, and even received more than $6.4 billion in tax refunds from the IRS since 2008.

Several of the companies received a total taxpayer bailout of more than $2.5 trillion from the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department.

Many of the companies also have outsourced hundreds of thousands of American jobs to China and other low wage countries, forcing their workers to rely on unemployment insurance and other federal benefits.

"In other words," Sanders said, "these are some of the same people who have significantly caused the deficit to explode over the last four years."

Sanders, a member of the Senate Budget Committee, said the $16 trillion national debt is a serious issue. He has proposed specific ways to lower deficits. For details, click here.

I can't seem to get the "click here" to work. Maybe you can at the above link. In another location which makes copying impossible, it says for instance that the taxpayer bailout of Bank of America by the Fed and the Treasury department (presumably for last year) was over $1.3 trillion; BoA paid zero federal income taxes and got a "tax refund" of $1.9 billion; and if its offshore tax havens were eliminated, its federal tax obligation would have been $2.6 billion.

Consider this ultimate fuel for the "fair share" flames -- and above all, please remember AND INFORM OTHERS that THEY DO NOT OWE TAXES ON THEIR WAGES.

Some nice fresh insights into the filth of wage taxation

Or income taxes as they're mistakenly known. VIEW THESE VIDEOS, please -- in the first one, a former DEA agent names the real #1 drug dealer! Mike Wallace and other "mainstream" newspersons are materially heard from.

Say No to Taxes

Sounds like a good Canadian narrator in the first video.

Mind you, this is not a site your mother would want you messing with -- but it happens to feature some of the most important, crucial information you'll find anywhere. No, I don't agree with everything in it, but what's good is beyond price. Reality is often ugly, our remaining abilities to expose it is beauty personified.

This is linked there too -- let me know what you think please:

Was Fox once conservative -- or something?

Some will perhaps think me cynical, but I've never found Fox News measurably right-of-center overall. How could it be, as a Rupert Murdoch creation? What a line-up -- you know, the police kind!

THE FUTURE OF FOX NEWS – HAS IT ALREADY SHIFTED LEFT?

It's not enough that a monster like Murdoch has to pass through this veil of tears and make it more lachrymose. Oh, no -- he has to replicate. Liberal MITOSIS and CYTOKINESIS rule.

Busting the History Channel wholesale

The History Channel is no more on the level than any high-dollar source of information today. I just love it when people say "well, I just have a TV to watch the news" or "I'm against TV too, and only have one to watch the history programs."

The "real" offerings on THC are bad enough. When it was new, it was so WW2-obsessed they could have called it the Hitlery Channel. (Complications: calling Hillary Clinton Hitlery is so easy!) Meanwhile, Ancient Aliens is an example of how a top-rated award-winning channel can compromise itself. It features David Hatcher Childress, a known liar and faker for many years. Thank God, there are serious, professional-quality debunkers at work -- brief but powerful example here:

I don't know.

But the shows on the so-called

parade around are...well you judge.

'Least Transparent Ever – IRS Used “Wholly Separate” Instant Messaging System to Hide Communications'

How many layers -- HOW MANY layers of evil have been unearthed on this thing?

High-tax states drive out residents -- duh!

Taxes in Xew Jersey obviated my ever owning a home there ($15,000 per year on an ordinary split level), so I pulled out of my beautiful $750/month ghetto apartment and moved to Dixie. 23 years later, it's both gratifying and aggravating to see the status of the problem.

http://teapartyupdate.com/this-surprising-thing-that-happens-to-states-who-raise-taxes/
This is What Happens to States that Raise Taxes

They focus on Connecticut, a state that should be white-picket-fence New England perfection. "Earlier this week, the Nutmeg State’s legislature approved a collection of new taxes to close a two-year, $40 billion budget to help pay the multibillion-dollar tab to repair and replace the state’s dilapidated roads and bridges. The package includes a 50-cent-per-pack hike in cigarette taxes and a bump in tax rates on corporations and the state’s wealthiest earners" -- will you kindly tell me what they're doing with state funds if roads and bridges are falling down? ROADS AND BRIDGES are the average shmoe's first idea of what taxes are for -- with some justification!

"The Ex-patriot movement consists of Americans who have grown weary of increasing taxes and have moved elsewhere to slough off the tough tax burden associated with living in the U.S." The pun is no doubt unintentional, but rich! Clearly they meant to say expatriate, but many expatriates are for sure ex-patriots too. The oath you take to renounce citizenship is pretty serious stuff, but sometimes I feel ready to take it any old time. Finding an affordable country that doesn't hate ameriKans with good reason, there's the rub.

So happens we heard from one of our own experts on the subject at two recent PN meetings -- Dr. Steven Yates. The news is mostly good, very good, in his new homeland of Chile -- except that the elongated country's latest "massive" earthquake was in a city long touted as an ideal expat destination:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Iquique_earthquake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcowbQ67W6M

Pretty sure Iquique is the city with no water of its own, where all water is piped to town from 90 miles away. How'd you like to get caught there the day the pipes finally rupture? I'm so negative, huh.

A younger Chomsky on some very old dialectical tricks

BrasscheckTV again provides a video that throws much-needed light on the tricks the establishment plays on the citizens. Our "leaders'" choice of words is, as Prof. Noam Chomsky says, always heavily weighted with duplicity. In this they are Orwell's 1984 characters come to life (war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength).

A country's military, if it feels it must have one, is supposed to exist to defend the country's borders. "Our" troops get sent all over the world in "defense" of "our national interests" -- meaning whatever  selfish, cynical purposes the establishment wants, normally for the express purpose of enriching themselves (defense contracts, weaker countries' raw materials etc.)

When the politicians and bureaucrats yammer about the need to stop discrimination, they actually want to kill people's faculty for being discriminating -- and to run their own affairs as they see fit. No doubt you can think of other examples.

This is a very, VERY important message that anybody within earshot of the politicians' (and media mavens') yammer needs to keep constantly in mind!
