South Carolina stumbles from meme to notion to accomplishment -- on a good day. Its politicians are far more conservative than most states' yet its politics are often in the muddle of the road (sic). Here's an event on Wednesday that could bring real, pioneering change to and from the Palmetto State. Is there any chance you or any of your friends could simply attend to show the public is keenly interested in the subject? I wish I could, but the PN Exec-Direc and I have a long-standing appointment for a music lesson. Don't laugh and don't write it off, please -- you can't begin to imagine the trouble we have finding mutually convenient times! And you may know that meetings, meetings, meetings are what we do, in Columbia and elsewhere.
The session described below should be very exciting and enjoyable for all present -- maybe even historical. Please, "just do it"!

Article 1 section 10No State shall make anything but gold or silver a tender in payment of debtsShut and bar the door on paper money! ~ Oliver Ellsworth, CTRemove the possibility of paper money! ~ James Wilson, PADisarm the government of any such power. ~ Pierce Butler, SCI would reject the whole Constitution if paper money is not barred. ~John Langden, NHThe extension of the prohibition to bills of credit must give pleasure to every citizen in proportion to his love of justice and his knowledge of the true springs of public prosperity…………The power to make anything but gold or silver a tender in payment of debts is withdrawn from the states on the same principle with that of issuing currency. ~ James MadisonCOINAGE ACT of 1792 – Penalty for debasing the currency is DEATH."I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies ... If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around ... will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered ... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." --Thomas JeffersonPromoters of the Central Bank (Federal Reserve Bank or IMF)There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of a society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction. John Maynard KeynesThe best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency. Vladimir LeninGive me control of a nation’s currency and I care not who makes its laws. Mayor RothschildBy a continuous process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method, they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some...The process engages all of the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner that not one man in a million can diagnose. - John Maynard Keynes - Economic Consequences of the Peace, 1920, (father of the current American economic system.)We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government of conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.--Woodrow Wilson (1919) regretfully, after establishing the Federal Reserve in 1913Great News!
