The former Beatle told the Daily Mirror he doesn't want to set a bad example for his children and grandchildren by using marijuana. He said Saturday his decision is "a parent thing."
He says "the last time I smoked was a long time ago."
McCartney had been a long-time marijuana user who spent 10 nights in jail after he was arrested trying to enter Japan with a large quantity of the drug in 1980.
The 72-year-old British rock/pop star is fit and has long advocated a vegetarian lifestyle. He continues to perform for adoring crowds worldwide.

The main focus of the USG's efforts since 9/11 -- well, since way before it behind closed doors -- has been getting amerikans to accept a terror-based existence. They want us to believe they're fighting to save us from evil Ayrabs and Moozlims that want to come here and start beheading people just like you by the millions. Here you have a case of an honest small businessman going about his affairs as people like him always have. After many business days there's a need to take cash receipts for goods and services to the bank. Depending on the size of the business, this will sometimes purely by happenstance mean consecutive days adding up to similar amounts, and in turn, for some stores this amount will approximate ten thousand dollars.,

In a spirit of pure casuistry the tax goons have set up a "speed trap" for such people. Ooooh, you deposited slightly less than $10,000 thre days last week, YOU HAVE TO BE OF EVIL INTENT! You lose your stuff regardless of any other factors than TAX RATS' GREED, OK? End of discussion. Don't like it? "So sue us!"

We're guilt until proven innocent now. Be afraid, be very afraid, unless people like you and me are going to start seriously fighting back with every legal means available to us.
