He's undoubtedly come a long way in his thinking. Is he ready to serve his country out of uniform as he never did in it -- addressing its enemies foreign and domestic without fear or favor?

No doubt he dodged actual bullets in the heat of battle in his youth with the best of intentions, and has untold thousands of youths have done so under his command. Is he ready for his government to fire on his fellow citizens?
