Self-appointed elite give Obie truckloads of moolah

This is no surprise, but it's surprising one class of the perpetrators writes it up:

In 2012 race, lawyers, law firms contribute twice as much to Obama than Romney

Elsewhere in the roundup of legal news that brought it:

Pa. Supreme Court Deep-Sixes Class Action Suit Against H&R Block
The Legal Intelligencer
Confidential relationships between tax preparer H&R Block and 600,000 of its customers are too individualized for the members' claims to be litigated in a class action, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled. The high court, in its fourth consideration of the case -- which was filed nearly two decades ago -- said confidential relationships are "not amenable to class treatment."

My comment: Now, there's a big little story that's never had its 15 minutes of fame. The state would side with its creature the corporation, wouldn't it? Megalithic institutions of a feather stick together.

Privacy Group Pushes TSA to Start Review of Airport Screening Program
The National Law Journal
Privacy advocates are urging a federal appeals court in Washington to pressure the Transportation Security Administration to begin the rulemaking process on the agency's controversial airport screening program.

The group in question is the Electronic Privacy Information Center, or EPIC, and kudos to them! Have a look, and write your Congresscritter if you like:

In Voter ID Case, How Big Is the Letter of the Law?
The National Law Journal
In court papers, font size matters -- the smaller the font, the more information an attorney can jam into a document. In South Carolina's closely watched dispute with the Justice Department over voter identification, lawyers on both sides spent the weekend duking it out over a single point size.

Whoa -- I see the compiler of this info is the PN Executive Director herself! "These looked like interesting snippets out of the daily emails we get at the office," she writes. How does she do it all in only 24 hours each day?

.......Here's the Authorized Waller Translation of a headline in advance: "Chief golem says there will be no botulism without ptomaine"--

http://freedomoutpost.com/2012/09/obama-without-tax-increases-there-will-be-no-bipartisanship/
Obama: Without Tax Increases There Will Be No Bipartisanship

Taxes increases ARE botulism to the body politic, and bipartisanship of the kind HE seeks IS ptomaine poisoning. Demo-publican poly-ticks is extremely toxic. When Obie speaks, call the poison control center nearest you!
