Isn't this the second near-miss of a certain type?

A few years back -- possibly during the presidential circus of 2004 -- a strange and alarming allegation came forth. Ron Paul's wife, the story went, had been almost killed when a plane on which she was a passenger ran into serious engine trouble. Have tried googling for the specifics on it but found nothing substantial. Do any of you have them?
