Remember? A few months back Julian Assange and company were the hottest news item going. An incredible furor greeted their exposure of fedgov criminality. Politicians and law goons high and low were promising to rein them in and lock them up or worse. But all that now seems a long time ago, because..... strangely and wonderfully..... the whole subject got blithely dropped almost as quickly as it came up! This is one of the most classically, pricelessly OBVIOUS put-up jobs ever. Who are they trying to kid, posing as conservatives while whoring for the Marxist tax system? It's so planned, so canned, that it's a mystery how they managed to have any fans left after broadcasting it. Glenn Beck has a good and bad side, but please, make no mistake what Shill O'Reilly really is -- a rude, hateful yankee about whom absolutely nothing is classically conservative.In other words, the perfect Faux News arch-shyster.

I have NEVER had any use for Andy Griffith. We had "classic" comedy routines about football and Romeo and Juliet on a 45 RPM record when I was a kid in the 1950s, and I realized even then that they were cretinous anti-Southern clichés. He's a big liberal -- how else to become a mass media Southern icon? -- and quite frankly much (not all) of the Andy Griffith Show strikes me as hopelessly stupid as well.
The commercial in question appears to be directly pitched at Southerners, as a matter of fact. His speech has always been rhotic (no classically Southern dropping of final R's) on TV or it would have been no deal, no loot, no grammar for him. But in this commercial he starts arhotically and then it's a mixture. See also:
