WITH ECONOMIC POLICY
OBAMA WANTS A NEW FREE TRADE AGREEMENT THAT WILL SEND AMERICAN JOBS TO FOREIGN SWEATSHOPS.
Apparently unfazed by the devastating effect NAFTA & CAFTA have already wrought on American jobs; my opponent is poised sign the KORUS FTA which will send at least 160,000 more jobs to foreign countries that utilize slave labor.
The fact is, many "South Korean" factories are actually located across the demilitarized zone and in North Korean territory. While this may seem an odd arrangement, it is actually quite convenient for both seemingly opposed countries -- it all boils down to money. By maintaining "South Korean" ownership, companies are able to circumvent pesky trade embargos while taking advantage of the North Korean child and slave labor sweatshops. North Korea and China benefit through profits and often "partial" ownership of these factories.
The profits China will reap are particularly troubling. China still has a brutal "one-child policy" with forced abortion and forced sterilization. They have killed close to 300 million babies; and our political leaders - from both parties -- give China the "most favored nation status" while they crush human rights, forcefully abort babies, and build the largest military in the history of the world. In addition, China is the largest holder of U.S. Federal debt. They have already used this leverage in order to influence American foreign policy. As it says in the Bible, the borrower is slave to the lender. What then will China require of us when they hold not only our debt, but also our manufacturing and resources?
This is suicide on the installment plan.
The ultimate irony is that the same North Korean or Chinese worker who labors to produce Christmas trinkets for sale in the United States would be imprisoned for owning "Christian paraphernalia" in their own homes.
Why do the President Obama and the "new" Democratic Party, folks who are supposed to stand for strength and freedom, seem determined to eliminate our jobs while at the same time funneling money to enemies of freedom? American companies simply cannot compete with foreign companies that pay their "workers" $14 a month, (the average for North Koreans). Companies will be forced out of business or to move factories to Obama's new foreign "trade zones". Either way, the American worker loses.
China and its red-hot economics are much in the news these days, more or less everywhere. You read about how they’re moving in on Africa as if nobody had everye thought of exploiting its human and mineral potentional, and why shouldn’t it. Many dread the day Chine finally realizes it’s holding four aces against the rest of the world and simply starts dictating policy to it, starting with the USA which it sees as despicable and long overdue for retribution.

A recent survey of market participants published by Bloomberg indicated that 45% of those surveyed believe it's inevitable that China's boom will turn to bust sometime in the next 5 years. Another 40% said they expect it to happen sometime after 2016.
The arguments for why China's economy is a train-wreck waiting to happen are not new. Prominent short-sellers such as Jim Chanos cite forests of empty apartment towers, deserted shopping malls with no stores or customers, and the empty city of Ordos as proof that China has massively overbuilt.
They argue that the economy is built on a foundation of quicksand, as construction accounts for the biggest single slice of GDP, and at some stage there simply won't be a need to build anymore.
I can't disagree. At some point, perhaps in the not-too-distant future, building in China will slow, and subsequent rate hikes will curtail new expansion.

A friend in Anderson took a shot in the dark and bought one of the space heaters so heavily advertised as coming from the workshops of Amish craftsmen. It gives terrific heat and has the most beautiful fireplace-like glow. I’d been thinking of getting one myself for next winter, but the reviews are disappointing – and oddly, don’t say very much at all on whether the units help you save on your power bill. If any of you have first-hand knowledge, lets have it.
