Now this is a killer story. You've heard many times of prisoners running hugely lucrative scams -- tax and otherwise -- but hiring TWENTY THOUSAND of them as tax preparers? The article doesn't say they're people presently incarcerated but mentions "prisoners", and either way it's just staggering. Unstated, unanswered essence of the story: how did this happen? Either some IRS bureau deliberately hired felons, or word got around the felon community that it was an easy hire. Something like that--!??!!
Pay your fair share, now. Helps feed and clothe those cruelly cut off from society. Probably gets them cigs, booze and nooky too!
