It's true, they went from calling it "global warming" to "climate change", and with that, the world should have thrown it out the window. Nobody should be allowed to capriciously change the terms in an argument or debate -- give us a break!
That's because terms start for fixed quantities or concepts, and reinventing them at one's whim is a sign of mental illness.
This whole construct may be a sham, but there will indeed be a day of reckoning on our global crimes against the environment. Please join me in busting the sonservative mold on that subject.

that has received almost no attention. It was released by the Met
Office, shorthand for the United Kingdom’s meteorological center.
For those of us who have always suspected thatt he global warming movement was based on bad computer models, insufficient evidence, and a desire to use government to stop economic growth, this is what we have been waiting for.
The tip-off was a decade ago, when the global warmers dropped the phrase “global warming” and substituted “climate change.” The climate was changing. It just was no longer getting warmer.
They will now have to refute this report, line by line. They will have to show that the facts are wrong.
They can’t. So, they will simply ignore it.
The whole scam is pretty much a spent force politically. Enough voters have switched sides to global warming skepticism to undermine the movement’s political base. The movement will now have to rely on presidential executive orders and executive branch bureaucracies to pursue its agenda in the United States.

The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.
This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.

This stands in sharp contrast to the release of the previous figures six months ago, which went only to the end of 2010 – a very warm year.
Ending the data then means it is possible to show a slight warming trend since 1997, but 2011 and the first eight months of 2012 were much cooler, and thus this trend is erased. . . .
From the start of 1997 until August 2012, however, figures released last week show the answer is zero: the trend, derived from the aggregate data collected from more than 3,000 worldwide measuring points, has been flat.
Not that there has been any coverage in the media, which usually reports climate issues assiduously, since the figures were quietly release online with no accompanying press release – unlike six months ago when they showed a slight warming trend.. . .
But according to increasing numbers of serious climate scientists, it does suggest that the computer models that have for years been predicting imminent doom, such as those used by the Met Office and the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, are flawed, and that the climate is far more complex than the models assert.
