Olympics are a worse festival of totalitarianism than ever this year

See, you can have a normal life or you can live in a funhouse-mirror dictatorship that satirizes itself more richly every day. The above article may seem to describe a normal situation for the "post-9/11 age" or whatever cliché they want to put on it, but it is in fact as far from normal, healthy or desirable as it can possibly be in the present universe.

Free people do not see or tolerate such nightmarish ballets of tyranny. 9/11 is a fraud, the terror thing is a racket, and everything done in response to them is either a total waste or a deliberately self-fulfilling prophecy -- "We must need government protection from bad people if there is so much protecting going on!" Oh, SAVE us, greedy Godless amoral bureaucrats. When you're not fleecing and suckering us in 50,000 different ways, please take a break and SAVE us from the monsters you've created and sicced on us. We're SCARED!

Among other things, I think the article above makes a great case (whether it knows it or not) for simply discontinuing the Olympics. Forgive me, I think they're a dsgusting idolatry and escapism festival. Of course, if the movers and shakers want to stage mental/intellectual/cultural Olympics, that would be just fine.
