How to talk to leftists

This is one of those many-layered articles. It shows the usefulness of the least common elements in the political earth today -- subtlety and irony. They author writes sarcastically, but I think any transactional analyst or psychologist would have to agree that what he's describing are some things we should have been doing this whole time.

Since leftists are fueled by emotion, not logic, don't be surprised if on trying these techniques your opponent simply runs away or tries to shout you down. But in that case, you will at least have given him a better chance to see the light. /\/.\/\/.

I've heard about the site and reported it some here, but Editor Gordon Duff (a great, concentratedly Scottish name) has broken all barriers in summing up real-world modern history, and then some. General George Patton is quoted at length, and -- WARNING -- politically incorrect to the max! He fingers German Presidess Angel Merkel as a former communist stooge and makes mincemeat of 9/11 lies.

Pure 24k gold is his registering of Patton's "conclusion that World War II had been fought against the wrong people." Now, for a veteran pundit to go THAT far with blurting out unprocessed, un-homogenized, non-pasteurized opinion like that takes guts -- but miraculously, readers seem to be eating up his kind of frankness. Alexa.com rates VT #38,756 in worldwide traffic, and JUST UNDER TWELVE THOUSAND in the USA!

ACLU Launches Smartphone App to let People Secretly Record Police Stops – It can record audio and or video. The stealth mode conceals the fact that it is recording. It is currently available for android users. They say they are working on an IPhone version but I doubt Apple will allow it. Android users have no big brother watching what apps can be sold or used, IPhone does control this. The cops will soon start telling the people they want their phones turned over when they stop them. They will give them back after the stop is over. The phones will be placed out of range of the stop like on the hood of the police car. There needs to be concealed recording devices installed inside cars not obvious to the cops.

Problem is the judges do nothing to the cops for anything they do, to an overwhelming extent. If a judge takes action against the cops then the family and friends of the judge start getting stopped searched, things get found on them and so forth. A closed system doomed to eventual collapse.

In June, the North Carolina Senate passed a state House of Representatives bill (House Bill 819) that orders scientists to use the "correct" way to predict weather in North Carolina. The bill requires that only historical analogies back to 1900 be used to predict sea-level rise -- meaning that scientists must ignore "feedback loops" in which recent, consistent heat and violent atmospheric conditions suggest more radical weather. For example, nine of the hottest 10 years on record have occurred since 2000, but North Carolina scientists must not be swayed by that fact because only patterns of the more stable 20th century can forecast 21st-century sea levels. (Many North Carolina coastal property owners believe the 40-or-more-inch rise in sea level by 2100 that is predicted by most scientists would threaten property values and would rather believe the perhaps-8-inch rise that House Bill 819 would dictate.)
